Dorothy Parriott, Ph.D.

Dr. Dorothy R. Parriott is a licensed psychologist specializing in comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessment across the lifespan. She brings over 20 years of experience in diagnostic evaluation, clinical supervision, and psychological service delivery in both private and public settings. Dr. Parriott is also known for her leadership roles in program development, strategic planning, and grant coordination.

She currently serves as the Director and Lead Supervising Psychologist at the Psychoeducational Mental Health Clinic at Nevada State University, where she leads the development and implementation of clinic services, supervises trainees, and ensures adherence to the highest standards of ethical, legal, and professional practice.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Parriott served as the Director of Assessment at Sandstone Psychological Practice, where she conducted in-depth psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic evaluations, provided individual and group therapy, and supervised graduate-level trainees.

Dr. Parriott is passionate about advancing the field of psychology through the integration of assessment, intervention, and training. She has contributed to clinical research on autism assessment tools and has presented at national conferences, including the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Her professional interests include diagnostic clarity in complex cases, clinician training and supervision, and the development of inclusive mental health practices.

Dr. Parriott has performed thousands of assessments in school, clinical, and university-based settings, serving children, adolescents, and adults from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Dr. Parriott’s approach emphasizes collaborative, strengths-based care grounded in current research and tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Originally from the East Coast, Dr. Parriott has called Nevada home for many years. Outside of her psychological work, she enjoys time with family and friends, exploring new places, and supporting local educational and mental health initiatives.
