Recruiting for a Post-Doctoral Fellow:
The Thought Loft is seeking 1-2 postdoctoral fellows for the 2026–2027 training year who are interested in therapy, psychological assessment, and private practice.
Our post-doctoral fellow will have opportunities to provide therapy to adolescents and adults and complete psychological assessments for concerns such as ADHD, learning disabilities, and other cognitive, academic, and psychological needs. They will also have opportunities to engage in clinical supervision of practicum students.
We are looking for someone who brings warmth, curiosity, cultural humility, and a collaborative spirit to their work. Our practice is person- and relationship-centered, and we believe good psychological care requires understanding people within the context of their identities, cultures, relationships, and lived experiences. We value clinicians who remain open, reflective, and committed to continued learning.
Ideal candidates will enjoy working as part of a team, have an interest in private practice, and value consultation and collaboration with colleagues and community members.
For the right person, this fellowship may also offer the opportunity to remain with The Thought Loft as a licensed psychologist after the training year.
What to expect:
Our fellowship is designed to support the transition from graduate training to independent practice. Fellows receive at least two hours of supervision each week, with opportunities for individual and group consultation, case conceptualization, professional development, and preparation for independent licensure.
We also believe excellent clinical work should be sustainable. Fellows have flexibility in structuring their schedules, including the possibility of a four-day workweek, and may complete documentation and other non-direct work remotely when appropriate.
Compensation & benefits:
Salary of $66,000 per year
20 paid days off per year
