Carter Causse

Starting June 2026

Carter Causse is a fourth-year doctoral student in UNLV’s school psychology doctoral program. He specializes in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with adolescents to help them live a more fulfilling life despite their challenges with anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms. In addition to his work in therapy, Carter also specializes in comprehensive psychological evaluations.

Carter received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. While working on his degree, Carter worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), where he worked with children diagnosed with autism.

During his doctoral training, Carter has worked in various schools where he completed special education eligibility evaluations, helping children with behavioral and academic difficulties access resources. He also helped coach teachers in ways that they could best support their students. Carter has also worked at the Boy'’ Town Behavioral Health Clinic, helping children with neurodevelopmental disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as completing psychological evaluations for autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

We are excited to have Carter join The Thought Loft.
