Jessica Woodyatt (“Jessie”)
Jessie is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student studying at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She completed her Bachelors degree in Psychology at Swansea University in Wales, and specialised further by obtaining her Masters from King’s College London in Early Intervention in Psychosis. While Jessie has a strong clinical interest in supporting individuals and their families as they navigate the complex stages of early psychosis and serious mental illness, she is also deeply invested in helping clients with a wide range of concerns. Jessie works with individuals spanning all ages (children, adolescents, and adults), and firmly believes that a solid therapeutic bond between client and therapist is key to better clinical outcomes.
Jessie’s approach to therapy centres around building a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship with each individual client. She has worked across a variety of settings, including private psychological practice, outpatient centers for those experiencing early onset psychosis, and inpatient psychiatric facilities. She has found each of these experiences to be meaningful in shaping her clinical identity.
During her time working towards her clinical psychology doctorate, Jessie has found a passion for psychological testing and assessment. Meeting the client where they’re at and taking their unique referral concerns and considerations into account, Jessie strives to formulate the best possible test battery to help clients recognise their strengths, better understand their areas of difficulty, and provide them with diagnostic confirmation and clarity.
Originally from Warwickshire, England, Jessie’s favourite thing to do is spend time with her young son, husband, and three cats. She finds joy in a good cup of tea or coffee, watching re-runs of Law and Order, finding antique furniture, and perfecting a good recipe. Having lived in Rochester New York before moving to Las Vegas, she is also a huge Buffalo Bills fan.”
